Learn to shop the perimeter of the store. On the perimeter of the store lies the fruits & veggies, dairy section and meat/deli counter. This is where the bulk of your food should come from. It’s where food is found in its most purest and simplest form. Most of the inner aisles of the store have the highly processed foods that contain large amounts of sugar and fat. Something that I can’t stress enough to my clients… keep it simple and pure.

Many of my friends know that I am quite particular about where I eat. I try VERY hard to avoid chain restaurants. There are many reasons… I don’t eat bar food (nothing deep fried, pre-packaged, etc.), most restaurant food is highly processed (and over-priced), as an entrepreneur I would rather support the independents and most importantly, I like my dining experience to be unique, instead of being treated like every other customer that walks through the door.
