Nurse‑Founded Compression & Lymphedema Care

Proper fitting of medical compression garments is an important part of long-term comfort and support. The right fit helps ensure the garment works effectively, feels comfortable, and suits your individual needs.  


At Sensible Wellness, our approach is guided by nursing knowledge and clinical understanding of swelling, skin health, and post-surgical care. Each fitting includes careful measurement, education, and guidance so you feel confident managing your compression at home.  Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and personalized experience—whether you are newly starting compression or continuing your care.

SERVICES

PRIVATE NURSING SERVICES

Nursing Lymphedema & Swelling Care (RN, CLT‑LANA)

$125.00

We provide nursing assessment and ongoing support for people living with, or at risk of, lymphedema and chronic swelling. Visits may include:

  • Swelling and skin check
  • Limb measurements and tracking
  • Compression guidance (safe use and fit)
  • Education for daily self‑care and risk reduction
  • A simple plan you can follow at home


Care is provided within BC nursing standards and can be coordinated with your healthcare team.

Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) – Stand‑Alone Sessions

$125.00

MLD is a gentle, light‑pressure technique that helps support fluid movement and comfort.
This can be booked as a stand‑alone service or as part of a broader care plan.

ABPI (Ankle Brachial Pressure Index)

$75.00

ABPI is a simple, non-invasive screening that checks blood flow in your legs. This helps guide safe compression use and supports appropriate garment selection.


  • Measurement of blood pressure in the arm and ankle 
  • Basic screening to support compression decisions
  • Guidance based on results 


This screening supports safe compression fitting and does not replace medical diagnosis or vascular testing by a physician.


Compression Garment Fitting (Venous, Lymphedema, Post‑Surgery)

COMPRESSION FITTING

$25.00*

We provide professional measurements and fitting for ready‑to‑wear and custom compression garments, with education on:

  • Choosing the right garment
  • Wear and care
  • How to put on and remove safely
    We support needs such as venous concerns, varicose veins, swelling, lipedema, wound support, and post‑cancer garments (arm sleeve & glove).


*DEPOSIT Required with booking will only be applied to your garment order if purchased on same day of your appointment.

BREAST SURGERY FITTING

$25.00*

(Including Post‑Breast Cancer)

We help with post‑surgery garments and compression options, focusing on comfort, function, and correct fit.

Mobile Visits (Home‑Bound or During Treatment)

Fitting Fee & Mobile Service

  • Deposit required when booking online to reserve your spot.
     
  • Deposit is applied toward your garment purchase, your order must be done the day of your appointment.


  • The Mobile fee is not applied towards your order

FAQ-Appointments

Here are a few important points for your appointment:

 

  • Have your prescription ready
  • Your Doctor or Clinic name and phone number 
  • If you have a wound please make sure its covered
  • For Mastectomy or Breast surgery please wear a top that easy for you to take on and off.
  • For Breast Fittings Don't book appointments if you still have drains in place.



  • Intake Form: Please complete the intake form emailed to you.
     
  • If you haven’t received it, check your Junk or Spam folder.
     
  • Medical History:
     
  • List all medications.
     
  • List all surgeries, especially abdominal, gynecological, urological, cancer-related, and plastic surgeries.
     
  • Clothing: Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to remove so we can properly assess the area of concern.
     
  • Support Person: You are encouraged to bring someone with you to listen and learn how to support you moving forward.


  • Intake Form: Please complete the intake form emailed to you.

Bring Your Compression Garments

  • If you have been recommended to wear compression, please bring your garment to every follow-up visit.
     
  • Upper body / chest: Bring your compression bra.
     
  • Arm / hand: Bring your arm sleeve or arm garment.
     
  • Leg / foot: Bring your stockings or leg garment.
     

This ensures your nurse can properly assess and apply any treatment during your appointment.
 

  • If it’s your first session and you’ve ordered garments, they will be applied at the end of your appointment.
     
  • Arm Treatment: Wear a wide short-sleeve top that is stretchy or sleeveless.
     
  • Leg Treatment: Wear wide shorts or pants with a stretchy, roomy leg to accommodate padding.
     
  • Food & Drink: Stop eating or drinking 2 hours before your appointment.
     
  • If you are diabetic or on a special diet, let us know for specific instructions.


Please note: Medical compression garments are personal medical supplies. Worn items cannot be returned or exchanged, including items that have been submitted to your insurance for reimbursement. For full details, please read our Return Policy.
